Unknowingly, Sujata marries a man Manohar Lele, who's already married. Manohar's first wife Kusum is unable to conceive a child. They plan a marriage of Manohar and Sujata. When Sujata gets pregnant and gives birth to a child, Manohar reveals that he married her only for the baby. He throws her out and keeps the baby. Sujata is shocked beyond belief.
