Vijay and his family are humiliated by his fiancee Madhu's father, Sukhiram, who breaks their engagement. Perplexed, Vijay tries to find the reason behind it and is shocked by the revelations.

Vijay Varma (Akshaye Khanna) learns a few lessons about love and life. Wooing his sweetheart proves an arduous task as poor Vijay faces constant rejection by the woman who has captured his heart as well as by her family. Vijay (Akshaye Khanna) is in love with Madhu (Urmilla Matondkar). His parents and his grandpa (Kader Khan) have no objections to his marriage, however, Sukhiram (Paresh Rawal), Madhu's dad is vehemently opposed to the marriage. His opinion suddenly undergoes a change when he meets with Vijay. He subsequently agrees to bless the couple and arranges an engagement party. At this party sukhiram announces that he not going to give his blessings to Vijay and Madhu, and asks Vijay and his family to get out of his house. Humiliated, Vijay and his family are perplexed at Sukhiram's actions. Madhu threatens to run away but Sukhiram manages to convince her that Vijay is not the right husband for her. Vijay's enquiries expose his family's secrets, his father is not who he claims he is, but a man who has undergone plastic surgery to elude the police for killing Sukhiram's family.—rAjOo ([email protected])
