Young folk leave a cruel civilization and transport into a more modern village where things are better. Sadly their fate turns out just as cruel in this newer world.

In the brutal warrior society, the men gather as usual for eating and drinking parties. The women and children are only there to serve them and the five 14-15 year old children, the boys Nelo, Alfo and Keramo and the girls Nyla and Ilni can't stand this life anymore. They decide to flee to the nearby island where they have heard that people are different and better. In the so-called civilized island society, the reception of the children is very negative. No one will give them work, let alone shelter and food. Only the old instrument maker Andante, who is considered petty by the citizens, helps them. He reports that the warriors have planned a raid on the island community and the children try to warn the residents, but in vain. So when the warriors arrive, nothing is prepared and the islanders have little chance of survival. But in a clever ruse, the children capture the warriors' leader Neral in a trap, and when the other warriors can't cope without him, they escape. Now the children have suddenly become heroes, and at the victory celebration, the island's mayor calls on the citizens to offer them shelter and work. Nelo and Alfo are taken in by the carpenter and work in his workshop, while a farmer couple takes in Nyla, Ilni and Keramo.
