In a sleepy village of Brandenburg (near Berlin), bachelor Horst Krause lives a quite life with his sister as constable and farmer, nothing more exciting or erratic then dreamer . When adventurous sailor Albert arrives to inquire about an artist he knew from the sole passage of a traveling circus, Horst suspects it may be her and his son.
