Apollon Okoyomov is a handsome man who lives in a happy marriage. He decides to turn the head of the Moscow millionaire Obolduyeva and thereby improve his financial affairs. He will receive a divorce only if he convicts his wife of infidelity. Apollo persuades his wife Zoya, who is in love with him to unconsciousness, to play a love scene with his friend.
