Kazutaka An is a young psychiatrist at Kobe University Hospital. He enjoys playing jazz, recording his thoughts in a diary and reading books. Suddenly, a devastating earthquake hits Kobe. Kazutaka is traumatized by the earthquake himself, but he still gives treatment to the victims. He listens to their stories and feels their pain.
