A young boy comes from the village to work as a domestic in prosperous Delhi (India). He is personal servant to an eccentric old lady who lives with her unemployed son and his beautiful wife. The daughter-in-law is the main earning member and therefore holds the family together. The old lady confides in the boy her fears of being abandoned by the family.
