Synopsis

The Academy is a magical school that only a chosen few are allowed to attend. The headmaster of the school, Professor Ambrozy Kleks (Tomasz Kot), shapes and tunes the power of fantasy that the students possess.

It was Ada's (Antonina Litwiniak) birthday when she was selected by the academy. It had been six years since her father went missing, and Ada had come to accept that he would never return. She liked to be the one in control of her life, and when it came to birthdays, she always made a plan to not feel overwhelmed. Ada's mother, Anna (Agnieszka Grochowska), continued to obsess over finding her husband, and she forgot about Ada's birthday party. Ada missed her father, who always brightened her day, and she knew that only if he returned, their lives would become perfect.

Matthew (Sebastian Stankiewicz), a cross between a human and a bird, was in charge of entering the real world and choosing kids with maximum imagination. He went across the world and chose students from countries far and wide. He ended up in New York in search of Ada. Ada dismisses Matthew and considers him a crackpot.Ada complained about the bird-man to her mother, she was not surprised; instead, she revealed that she and her husband, Alex (Mateusz Krol), used to be students at the academy, and that was where they met for the first time. Alex Contrary was a grand master, and since Ada was his daughter, she had a great responsibility. Anna believed Ada had tremendous power within her, and that was why the Academy was calling her. Ada was in disbelief, and she met her neighbor to discuss the matter. As it turned out, he too was well aware of the academy, and he possessed the power of magic as well. With just one touch, he showed Ada the adventure that awaited her at the academy.

Ada finally decided to join Matthew and travel to the magical realm; her mother could not join her because she had been in the real world for far too long. The Academy encouraged its students to dream and fantasize because children tend to have vivid imaginations, and nurturing them was the work of the Academy and Professor Kleks. Students include Zita (Amelia Lutynska), Batar (Enkhkhangaluun Byambadulam), Kiko (Liu Sitkowska), Diego, Albert, Natasha and others.She was soon introduced to Professor Kleks, who was also her father's brother in the magical world. Kleks was an eccentric man who always managed to turn class lessons into fun exercises. Kleks says that every child is born with 50 freckles, and they turn into an adult, when the freckles go to 0. But, if the child imagines, the freckles grow and if they reach a 100, the child can remain imaginative forever.Even though initially Ada thought she did not belong because she was too focused on reality and lacked imagination, Professor Kleks helped her realize that she was an imaginative person and all she needed was someone to believe in her.Snaggy entered the Academy grounds after being dropped on it by parachute. Snaggy was half human and half wolf.

The Wolfurs were a cross between humans and wolves (somewhat like werewolves), and they resided in Rahdar, a realm that belonged to them. The Wolfur queen was obsessed with finding her brother's killer. Prince Vincent (Daniel Walasek) was taught from a young age that avenging his grandfather's death was the only way to bring peace. The queen proudly informed Vincent that she had been successful in tracking down their target, a man who took the form of a bird and was hiding in the Academy of Professor Kleks. She managed to find him in New York, but he slipped out of her hand. The queen was after Matthew, who once was a prince but had turned into a bird with the help of magic. It was only after he consumed the Transmutation fruit that he turned into somewhat of a human with bird-like features.

One night, Ada sneaked out of her room and went around the academy to learn more about the people and the place. She found the story of Matthew in the books. When he was a prince, he used to enjoy traveling the most, and he often sneaked out at night to go on horseback rides in the fairy-tale forest. On one such night, Matthew was confronted by a Wolfur, and he had no choice but to shoot it down. The Wolfur stabbed him in the stomach with his sharp claws, and no doctor could heal the wound. Dr. Pai-Hi-Vo (Piotr Fronczewski) was the only one who understood the case. He warned Matthew that the Wolfurs were vengeful creatures, and the only way he could survive was by accepting the magical cap of the Bogd Khans.After pulling the button on the cap, Matthew had to use his power to transform into any creature he liked, and that was how he became a bird. One night, a Wolfur attacked Matthew in his room, and Matthew pulled on the button. But unfortunately he lost the button on the cap, and he could not transform back into his human form. Ada was surprised to find out that Matthew and the professor knew that the Wolfurs would attack the academy, and they had faith that she would protect them.Kleks gives Ada her father's gloves which allow her to change her size by clapping her hands.

The Wolfurs entered the academy after Snaggy (a half-Wolfur and half-human) informed them about Matthew. He was a young student at the academy who struggled to fit in with the others. The Wolfurs forced their way into the academy and searched for the prince. When Snaggy goes missing, Ada and Albert go looking for her.

All the students were asked to leave, and Ada decided to visit the cold, dark world where she had lost her best friend, Albert (Konrad Repinski). She and Albert followed Snaggy there (and find Snaggy talking to the Wolfurs), but Albert got lost somehow. Ada returns to the Academy.The academy was taken over by the Wolfurs. When Ada was captured by Wolfurs, Matthew surrendered himself to the angry Wolfurs.After the Wolfurs leave, Ada finds Albert at the lake in the dark world, but it was partially frozen and impossible to reach. Albert always felt disconnected from the others, but Ada tried to make him feel at home. She could relate to him, and she knew how difficult it was to adjust to a new environment. Ada tried to reach out and grab Albert's hand, but he slipped and fell into the lake. Albert tried to stay afloat, but it was cold, and he could not move. He eventually drowned in the lake.Ada returned to the real world, and she started to lose faith in herself. She spoke to her neighbor, Dr. Pai-Hi-Vo, and the magic within him helped her find the ending to her fairy-tale.

The doctor encouraged Ada to overcome her fear because only then would she find her answers. Ada was always afraid of the barking dog outside her apartment, and she decided to face it instead of running away from it. Once she figured out what the dog was going through, she had only love for him. She inherited the power of empathy and harmony from her father. She found the missing button of the magical cap pinned to the dog's collar. Ada went back to the academy to save her loved ones. On her way there, she helped an injured Wolfur, further emphasizing her empathetic side.

Ada freed Professor Kleks, and she teamed up with her friends to come up with a plan to defeat the Wolfurs. Killing the creatures was not an option because they were immortal as long as the queen powered them with moonlight. The only way to defeat them was by taking the queen's ring that she used to collect the moonlight and charge the Wolfurs. She asked her friends, Diego (Igor Fernandez-Kowalczyk) and Natasha (Daria Kalinchuk), to cover the moon with clouds to take away their power source, and the rest were asked to spread out and make sure that the Wolfurs were unable to contact one another.

Ada used her gloves to become a miniature version of herself to navigate the space densely filled with Wolfurs. When Ada met Prince Vincent, she tried to convince him to stop the war. She saw a ray of hope in him, even though he was convinced that revenge was the only way to deal with a murder. The prince and the queen prepared to kill Matthew, and Ada constantly warned Vincent that an eye for an eye could never be the answer. Ada tried to read the mind of the prince, and she realized that he was not born with evil in him; he was forced by his family to become cruel. She begged him to allow Matthew to turn into his original form before he was killed since it was his only wish. Prince Vincent decided to grant his wish and allowed Ada to put on the cap for Matthew.

After Matthew's transformation, Ada tried to reason with the prince, stating that Matthew had already paid his price by living in another body for several years. Ada addressed the crowd and blamed the witch queen for instilling a feeling of hatred and evil within the Wolfurs. Using her power, she was able to make the crowd feel empathetic, and they realized how their actions would affect the lives of others and that war could never be an answer. Prince Vincent finally overcame the hate and realized that Ada was right. Queen Wolfur tried to attack the prince out of anger, but the prince managed to stop her, and she was arrested. Before leaving, Prince Vincent, now the King, left Ada a memento that she could use to call him if she ever needed his help in the future.

There was finally peace at the academy, and Ada became a more confident individual after she figured out her roots. She returned to the real world; a year passed, and it was her birthday once again. She walked into a surprise birthday party at her house, and she was visibly happy and content.

A mysterious old man with long white hair in a realm that Ada had entered for only a few seconds when she was searching for Snaggy. The realm consisted of a castle and dragons.Albert came to visit Ada, and surprisingly, he revealed that he now had robotic body parts.
