Alfonso and Allegra, two 15th-century lovers, are torn by war.

The year is 1475. Isabella and Joanna are fighting for the Spanish throne. Portugal on Joanna's side and Spain on Isabella's side. Because of war, the people suffer from poverty and crime. Inquisition makes the people fear religion and God. This is the story of two of those people who experience impossible love in the midst of war.
