Sofia and Amandine, friends from London, travel to Sofia's native Portugal for a weekend trip in Lisbon. Sofia, earnest and compassionate, is perennially in the shadow of the narcissistic Amandine and their unhealthy friendship is put to the test when Amandine runs into a handsome Portuguese artist, Guilherme, at a party. The chance encounter causes the two girls to go their separate ways: Amandine spends the weekend trying to wrap Guilherme around her little finger whilst obsessing over her ex- boyfriend Fabien; Sofia, finding herself alone in Lisbon, wonders through the city aimlessly fretting over Amandine's whereabouts. Amandine eventually returns, provoking a long-overdue confrontation between the two girls, and departs from Lisbon leaving a trail of destruction in her wake.—Roly Witherow
