The innocent and adorable Mani, whose simple world is tossed upside down when her doting mother dies of cancer. But before dying, her mother has written a letter to Mani's father, who is married to another woman, and asked him to take care of Mani/Kinnari. The story depicts Mani's/Kinnari's struggles as she learns to live without her mother.
