The pilot begins with the execution of 3 federal judges. We transition to see Ghana as the city wakes up on a Monday morning. At Dawn, a drug delivery is made to the shore; the narration tells of how up to two-thirds of drugs smuggled into Europe come via West Africa. We see Paa Kwesi Bediako jogging through Tema, crossing paths with Pastor B, who is standing with his wife Mavis.
Paa Kwesi meets Morro G the two exchange banter.
Upon returning home from jogging. after a quick banter with Mabel, he leaves to shower. Upon returning he notices his mother passed out on the couch. He accompanies her to the hospital. Once there, the DOCTOR breaks the tragic news to them that Mabel has cancer. she tells Paa Kwesi that she should be able to make a recovery, but it won't be cheap...
ACT TWO picks up with Kwesi Black, where he's pressuring Hatchette to work harder to infiltrate Buga's team to gain information on the next drug shipment to bring the criminals responsible for a recent crime spree across Tema to justice. They debate the effectiveness of the local police force, with Black pushing for a closer relationship with the associates of Buga.
Paa Kwesi calls on PASTOR BLOW for assistance. Paa Kwesi reveals his worries about her health and his ability to afford ample care. The Pastor tells him to trust in God, but Paa Kwesi has his doubts.
Paa Kwesi jogs down to the beach to clear his head. He meets Charles and tells him he wants to be down with the gang.
ACT THREE of the pilot episode returns to see Joyce, accountant for Alhaji. She is working with the police against her will and is fearful for her life. They have her for money laundering - her options are slim
Across town, there is a new player in town Jackie who is looking to leverage Buga's cash flow for some new business.
Alhaji meets with Buga to tell him of his plans to retire and how he wants Buga to run the operations after he is gone.
Paa Kwesi walking with Charles towards the garage, Charles makes it clear to his friend that this is a different ball game and if he is to be down he has to prove himself by completing an assignment
As Paa Kwesi begins to work on gaining access to the battery he is startled by security. As he comes from underneath the car and is questioned by security Charles comes from behind and jabs the security in the ribs with his knife. Paa Kwesi is in shock. Charles calls out to him and they run leaving the guard bleeding
