Jyoti Shinde lives a middle-classed lifestyle in Pune along with her parents. . While in college, she was friendly with a fellow-collegian, Sachin Mhatre. Afer college they parted but meet again after five years, and fall in love. Sachin tells her that he is a computer engineer, and she invites him and three of his friends, Bantu, Akki, and Bholu, to her 20th birthday party. During the party, she introduces Sachin to her parents, who approve of him, and both continue to meet.
