Karima is a hard-working woman from a working class neighborhood, she is married to Abbas and they have three children. When Abbas dies after being hit by a taxi cab, Karima discovers that her late husband had left her a fortune and a second wife named Mervat who is pregnant with twins. Karima then imposes an austerity plan on her family in order to keep the money, her children are not satisfied with her stinginess such as putting a lock on the refrigerator and allowing them to watch television for one hour.—Anonymous
