Layla is a dreamy village girl who lives in a simple village. She decides to escape from her cruel uncle's house, who wants to marry her to a young man she does not love, with whom he has some interests. She travels to the capital, Beirut, and works as singer in a singing band which soon declares bankruptcy. The band leader asks a wealthy man to help the band, and Said Abul-Dahab sees Layla and falls in love with her.—Anonymous
