Ritik Singla, belongs to a curious, idiosyncratic and wealthy Punjabi family, where all male members are stingy and parsimonious. The Singla family's story takes an interesting turn when Ritik falls in love with Bulbul Sharma.
A series of hysterical and amusing situations ensue and Ritik, the "Kanjoos Majnu" using his charms manages to get married to Bulbul, the "Kharchili Laila". However, the newlywed Ritik now must contend with his bride's long list of demands, or risk jeopardizing his marriage.
Ritik is not the only male in his family who is Kanjoos ... all males in the Singla family suffer from the same affliction. What sets Rtitk apart from the other males is that he falls head over heels over Kharchili girl Bulbul Sharma, for I whom money is not something that should get in the way of having a good time.
What is both unlikely and humorous is how the Kanjoos Protagonists able to successfully court a girl like Bulbul without compromising his penny pinching principles. Various scenarios play out where their opinions clash-she wants to go to a fancy restaurant for dinner yet he takes her for golgappas. She wants a destination wedding and he manage her to court marriage. Bulbul starts to realize what's in store for her when she sees that Ritik's whole family is just like him. She makes a difficult decision to file for divorce... will Ritik and Bulbul's marriage survive this storm?
