Documentary series about aggression against the Republic of Croatia. The series provides a detailed insight into the course of the war and the defense of Croatia.

On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the turning points that marked the period of the fiercest fighting in Croatia during September, October, November and December 1991, HTV's documentary production (Croatian National Television) in 2016 prepared a documentary series "How Croatia Was Defended". In this series about the Homeland War, with the help of a television archive, statements of participants and animated maps, crucial, but also lesser-known events, which were key to defending Croatia from Serbian aggression, are portrayed. After a short chronological introduction, each episode through three major stories presents almost all the important battlefields and battles in Croatia.
