Fisherman Selvam and Bhagyam are separated by fate. Selvam becomes a powerful man in the city while Bhagyam raises their son, Rajan, who learns about his father's betrayal and seeks revenge.

Selvam averts a mishap and returns to his village to find his lover Bhagyam. Unable to find Bhagyam and unaware of her life in isolation, he marries another woman.
