AK Srivastava an officer of the Department of Financial Crimes is diagnosed with retrograde amnesia despite which he solves the case of a Chit Fund Scam by listening to different perspectives of who he was and how he came to the hospital.
AK Shrivastava, an officer of the Department of Financial Crimes wakes up in a hospital with no recollection of what led him there. Different people including his own daughter who he doesn't recognize tell him stories about him and how he reached the hospital. Piecing together his disjointed memories and stories about his unpleasant relationship with his family, he unearths a massive financial scam that has taken the country by storm.—hianosh
The story is set in Kolkata of today where a Department of Financial Crimes officer named AK Srivastava is found in a hospital bed after an incident. He has been diagnosed with retrograde amnesia. He can only remember selectively. His daughter Sakshi tries to jog his memory and remind him of who he is. In her tale we realize the emptiness in their family. He was a strict father who could never communicate with his children and being afraid of him, they called him "Kadak Singh". Sakshi has negotiated a life of being a surrogate mother and daughter in the AK household where she has tried to take care of her troubled brother turning into a drug addict. AK was recently shaken by the death of his colleague Ravikant who was embroiled in investigating a financial scam of a Chit Fund where AK had caught him taking a bribe. Ravikant jumped out of the window to his death. The Sunflower Chit Fund Scam is the top priority of the Department of Financial Crimes (DFC). AK was getting very close to nabbing the culprits when a strange turn of events led him to wake up in a hospital with retrograde amnesia. His daughter - Sakshi who he does not recollect, his trusted junior - Arjun, his girlfriend - Naina and his boss - Tyagi tell him about the various versions of events which led to him being in the hospital. AK slowly begins to separate fact from fiction in his discussions with his the Head Nurse Miss Kanan and expunges what must have happened. He not only pieces his life but also nails the perpetrators of the Scam.
