Synopsis

In the watch tower, the justice league calls Constantine and zatanna for a meeting, the justice league along with honorary member Lex Luthor, discuss raiding apokolips to stop darkseid with the teen titans watching from their base, Superman explains that Darkseid is a tyrant that had not only conquered numerous planets, but had murdered their inhabitants as well. Several of the members voice their disposition against this plan, especially The Flash who experienced Flashpoint for himself and knows what the consequences could be.

But Superman is adamant that they stop Darkseid as he already sent doomsday and nearly killed them all. Hearing this they agree to launch an attack against Darkseid, but unbeknownst to them the being in question is spying on their meeting through cyborg's apokoliptian technology. When they arrive at Apokolips they are ambushed by Darkseid's army of what appears to be Parademons and are subsequently defeated.

2 years later, Raven is shown alone contemplating suicide until a man with green eyes stops her. It is revealed to Superman who is now powerless. They decide to go find Constantine, who is shown drinking beer with Etrigan in a abandoned bar guilt ridden after he abandoned his lover and which got her killed 2 years ago, Superman is blamed for getting most of the justice league members killed (who is now powerless because of liquid kryptonite being injected into him and now has a green tattooed version of his symbol) he and Raven (who is struggling to maintain her father's imprisonment) come in and ask for his help to find Damian. Superman reveals what transpired during their failed assault on Apokolips 2 years ago: he reveals that Darkseid had learned about their plans and prepared parademons that were fused together with doomsday. These paradooms proved to be more than a match for the justice league and as a result several of the justice league apparently perished: Green Lantern, Aquaman, The Flash, The Martian Manhunter, Mera, Hawkman, and Zatanna. The ones that were spared were used by Darkseid: Batman was brainwashed to work for him, Cyborg's technology was integrated into Apokolips, and Superman was injected with Kryptonite rendering him powerless and left to wander the earth, forced to witness what his failed assault brought about to earth.

Raven then explains that after the failed assault, the teen titans were left alone to protect the earth and were quickly defeated by the paradooms. Constantine explains that he had abandoned his lover Zatanna during the failed assault, but did not know what came over him when he did. Raven asks for his help to find Damian to stop Darkseid, he agrees and using his magic he locates him in another country.

Raven teleports them to where Damian is. Damian (who's now 17) is shown at the league of assassins' headquarters, when he sees Superman, he attempts to attack him as also blames him for the failed assault and the loss of his father and brother. But before he can, Raven tries to stop him, before she collapses from exhaustion, due to her trying to keep her father trigon sealed. Damian leads them to Dick while explaining that most of the teen titans got killed including Dick (who got resurrected by the Lazarus pit but became insane). Superman pleads with Damian to help them stop Darkseid after some persuading from Raven he agrees.

They all go to strykers island were Lois Lane (who is now working the suicide squad) and a bunch of villain's hang out, she and Harley Quinn are fighting where she ends up winning, both teams infiltrate lexcorp tower to use a tele-porter (located in the building) to teleport to apokolips, in lexcorp some of the villains kill the paradooms but get killed in the process and the surviving heroes encounter Lex Luthor who reveals he was a mole working with Lois to gain intel on Darkseid. He arms them all with weapons made with Kryptonite, with Superman donning a suit powered with Kryptonite. From there the group decides to split up with Raven, Constantine, Damian, superman and etrigan heading to apokolips, while the other group remains at earth to defend the boom tube, batman (who is now working for darkseid) informs darkseid about Luthor's betrayal so batman decides to send paradooms the newly converted mechanical Furies at the heroes.

Entering apokolips Superman's group is attacked by the furies consisting of most of the heroes that died (who are now half human, half cyborg and are working for darkseid): Wonder Woman, Starfire, The Martian Manhunter, Mera, and Hawkman. Etrigan gets killed by Wonder Woman, but Constantine manages to break her free using her Lasso of Truth, this makes the half-cyborg wonder woman good again and decides to attack the furies as the group heads inside the building. Inside they discover the Flash alive and being forced to run on a treadmill powering apokolips, Superman breaks the machine and frees the flash, who explains that he was used as a generator, which drained his energy from the speed force.

Constantine calms him down with a spell, which causes him to see the Flash's memories and how he had altered the time-line in the past (depicted in flash-point paradox), and realizes that the reason Darkseid attacked them in the first place was because Flash altered the past. As in Justice League War, they had already defeated Darkseid, but because of flash-point, Darkseid returned. They go to another room they see Cyborg who is now integrated in the planets network, Constantine breaks Cyborg free of his mind control forced on him by darkseid, which also frees the furies as well right as they are about to overpower Wonder Woman.

Unfortunately, at that exact moment Batman and Darkseid return. Darkseid orders Batman to kill Damian, the two fight with Batman overpowering him, but he hesitates when he is reminded of his parents' death (by Damian), which breaks him free of Darkseid's mind control. Batman manages to land a blow on Darkseid and In a fit of rage Darkseid tries to kill Batman but his attack is intercepted by Damian, who dies in Batman's arms, Raven is overwhelmed by his death, her sadness sets trigon free from her gem, Constantine offers his body as a vessel for Trigon but he refuses, he takes Clark's body instead and they merge which purges the kryptonite from his body, restoring his powers. Trigon then kills Constantine by snapping his neck and proceeds to attack Darkseid.

In the afterlife, Constantine is briefly visited by Zatanna in the afterlife who reveals she used a spell to manipulate Constantine to flee back to Earth as part of a contingency plan prepared by Batman if the league had failed. They share a kiss before he gets revived. Simultaneously, Raven also revives Damian which causes Raven's clothes to turn white, and they confirm their feelings for each other. Back at lexcorp Lois's team is surrounded by paradooms, prompting them to destroy the building resulting in all of the heroes and villains deaths, before the bomb explodes Lois sends a farewell message to apokolips with Cyborgs assistance to Superman, her death triggers Superman which frees him from Trigon (he gets his original superman appearance) with Constantine trapping Trigon in a sphere of Magic. Superman then proceeds to attack Darkseid, enraged that he destroyed earth and his family.

Cyborg then reveals his plan to teleport the Paradooms back to Apokolips while dragging the planet into a boom tube with no exit. Cyborg then teleports the surviving heroes back to earth, and commences his plan. Trigon thanks his daughter for giving him a new body and bids her farewell. Relishing the battle, Trigon prevents Darkseid's escape as they are dragged into oblivion (which is a black void). Back at earth (in front of the remains of the titans tower) despite their victory half of the world's population has been killed, Batman explains that one-third of Earth's magma has been drained by the Reapers, the planet's rotation being compromised meaning that millions upon millions of people could die before they can find a solution so Constantine convinces the Flash to create another flash-point (it resets the time-line and creates a new universe) Damian and Raven kiss (both sitting on a boulder) as the rest of the heroes watch as the time-line gets reset as a bright light covers the world, leaving their fate unknown.
