Julia and Thomas are inseparable. When Julia dies in a car accident, her heart is used for a heart transplant. Thomas does everything he can to find Julia's heart again.

Science and imagination are playfully mixed in a love story in which Julia and Thomas are inseparable from childhood until Julia gets into a traffic accident. She appears to have a donor code and her heart is being transplanted. Thomas cannot live with the idea that Julia's heart still beats inside someone else's body. He goes to extremes to find the heart, because he has learned that 'consciousness is not necessarily in your brain'.
