A team of explorers sets on a voyage to the Earth's core with their ship "Avenger". They recruit a yeti that serves as their guide. Meanwhile, a malevolent entity is attempting to recover the pieces of an Atlantean artifact.

Taking the title from the novel by Jules Verne, this story takes his basic premise of the desire to travel to the center of the Earth.
