Jinne Jamme Saarey Nikamme is the story of Niranjan Singh and Satwant Kaur who live in a village on the outskirts of Mohali, Punjab. They are parents to four sons who have been brought up by them with immense love and affection. Like all aging parents they want nothing more from their children except for their time and attention but this is exactly what they don't receive. A niggling thought often crosses their mind...they should have another child and pray that it's a girl child this time around. The kids are initially in shock and blame each other for pushing their parents into taking this absurd decision but when the internal bickering subsides, they decide to take matters into their own hands to avoid immense embarrassment at the hands of their parents. What starts off as a series of humorous incidents leads to an emotional roller coaster ride where the four sons truly realize the value of their parents and how much time they have lost themselves by being disconnected. Will this rediscovered love make their parents change their decision or will Satwant and Niranjan go ahead with their plan?—Promita Mukherjee
