Csaba Ágh (András Nyíri), a young helper, is injured during construction. During the tests, symptoms of a serious illness are discovered, and he is immediately sent to a clinic in Budapest. Csaba escapes from the operation, but his friends do not accept him as before, they know about his illness. The boy returns to the clinic. Doctor Éva Zala (Jana Brejchová) helps him fit into the world of patients. She helps Csaba through his mental crisis. Patients also help. When he leaves the clinic with an amputated but healthy leg, a more mature young man returns to everyday life.
