Gösta Nordgren, known as Snoddas (1926 - 1981) was a Swedish entertainer, singer, actor, bandy player and fisherman. Snoddas performed "Flottarkärlek" (Hugo Lindh) Saturday, 26 January 1952 in Swedish radio program "Karusellen", and the song became an instant and a major hit. His father Kalle Nordgren was a traveling fishmonger but also sold condoms and was therefore called "Gummi-Kalle/Rubber-Kalle". The son Gösta often hung out with his father on business trips and was therefore nicknamed "Gummisnodden/The Rubber Band)", shortened to "Snoddas".—Ulf Kjell Gür
