When two troll siblings wake up all alone in their cave, they need to embark on an adventure to find out were the 100 troll family has gone to. New things come to light about their family and feared mother Grýla.

When left alone in there home cave, Grýluhellir, the troll siblings Hurðaskellir and Skjóða have to try and navigate through their own relationship to find out were the other 100 members of the family have gone to. They come to figure out new things about their dysfunctional family and how they got to be the Santas of Iceland and their mother Grýla, the most feared troll of Iceland, to become the guardian of Christmas. Grýla pulls the stings in the background all the while struggling with the new role of being the mother of Christmas.—Jakob Hákonarson
