A snapshot of a few Rev. Mitchell's achievements, a glimpse into his life, and his legacy as a teacher, preacher, & activist in the state of Georgia.

Rev. Bennie R. Mitchell, Jr., my father, was a dynamic Baptist preacher, teacher, and civic leader in Savannah, GA for 37 years until his death in 2011. He has done many things to his acclaim. From the many things that my father tried to instill in his family and community was that nothing gets done if you don't do it and not to depend on anyone else to get your work done. With those lessons, I have been working on a documentary to chronicle the accomplishments of my dad and what his accomplishments meant to Savannah, her citizens, and this country.
