March 25, 1938 Ettore Majorana disappeared after being seen getting on a ferry from Naples to Palermo, leaving only two letters, one addressed to his family and another to a colleague of studies, in which is contained an apparent intention of disappearing. Forty years later a student of physics has questioned its disappearance.
