Johnny is involved in a scandal which has a catastrophic impact on his family so he fakes his own suicide. Now living homeless, Johnny unwittingly saves Lola, a teenage runaway, from a beating at the hands of Diamond Jack, a pimp. Lola follows Johnny home and confronts him for help.
