But he soon discovers that the feelings for his wife that he thought were dead return.—Mattias Thuresson

Anita Hoffman is a piano teacher who meets the noted violinist Holger Brandt when she is instructing his daughter, Ann-Marie Brandt. The acquaintance ripens into strong love, and when Brandt makes his next concert tour Anita is along as his accompanist. Anita's love for Brandt compels her to leave him in order to prevent him from deserting his family and causing a scandal that would injure his world-wide reputation. Brandt wanders alone after their separation, but returns to see his children again. It is only after seeing his daughter in a hospital, and his wife, Margit, that he realizes his love for Anita was only an interlude in his life and he returns to his family.—Les Adams <[email protected]>
