A teenager growing up in the 90's navigates his sexuality and tries to cope with the effects of sexual assault while friendships and love hang in the balance.

A teen has his little life upended, when he is forced to change high schools for his Junior year and leave behind his best friends. From the outside this seems like an amazing opportunity for a gifted student, but for Wes, there's more to the story. His ex-best friend attends the new school and Wes wants nothing to do with that situation. To make matters even worse, Wes is struggling to accept his sexuality and is also suffering under the weight of a sexual assault that took place a year or so prior that no one knows about. Wes's divorced and dysfunctional parents are finally working together... against Wes. Izzy and Miles begin secretly dating behind Wes's back leaving Wes feeling more left out. The most popular girl in school, who Wes has "pined" for, suddenly decides she wants to date Wes. And now, Anthony Marshall, the boy who made Wes question everything about himself, is back in his life and looming more largely than ever.
