The HH Richardson Complex is a National Historic Landmark built in 1880 housing over 660 mentally ill patients. The facility became so popular it exceeded capacity by thousands and eventually closed in 1973. After 40 years the facility has reopened as the Hotel Henry, a luxury boutique hotel where the old patient rooms were combined to create the current guest rooms.
