A Muslim girl finds herself having to deal with a ruthless gang of girls, an abusive father and preventing her brother from getting murdered.
Mariam and her family move to a new neighborhood. Mariam finds herself harassed by the "East Side Girls", a ruthless gang. Her brother Moe also falls to the gang life. Mariam meets Samantha, an open minded individual who sees no boundaries between different cultures. Samantha is pressured by her father Steven to not hang around with the"immigrants" as he calls them. Mariam's father disapproves of Mariam hanging around with "westernized" girls. When Mariam's brother Moe takes matters into his own hands, not only does Mariam need to protect herself but now she must save her brother from getting murdered
