The story of a Greek from 1941 on. Hniochos, still a student is captured by the Italians and imprisoned. In prison he will take the first hard lessons and acquire a life stance in the light of energy. He escapes and becomes a guerrilla.
The story of a modern Eniochos, a young dreamer inspired by the ancient Charioteer of Delphi, spans five decades of Greek history: the period between 1941 and 1991. During WWII, the then university student found himself imprisoned by the Italians. As he fled to the mountains, a group of rebels took him in to aid the cause. After the life-altering experience of the first battle against the Nazis, Eniochos found himself confronted with the destructive Greek Civil War. Then, the man returned to his hometown, only to face alienation. And after so many years, Eniochos realises that, even among friends, he doesn't fit in.—Nick Riganas
