Part road film, part comedy and full drama, INDIA RISING is a feature length documentary exploring what is making India tick on its rise to the front rows of the global political and economic stage. The director, now a Canadian citizen, returns to India after five years to explore the country he has seen little of but has called home for thirty years. A friend, also looking for a turning point in his life, joins him. As the motorcycles rev signaling the beginning of the journey, fantasies of what is to follow loom large.
