When a young pregnant mother with disability, Rita, arrives at a mysterious house, she experiences a series of strange events that lead her to believe that someone is kept prisoner within the house.
After calling the police, she gets to meet the owner of the place, Mrs. HAYES, a cold and secretive woman, who inhabits the place. After the police don't find any problem with the house, Rita takes up the investigation and calls for her brother to help her out.
As Rita finds out the whereabouts of Mrs. Hayes's sister, her other baby gets kidnapped from her own house. In her desperation, she gets a warning and her baby is returned. Once that occurs, Rita tries to quit but her brother tells her to keep the job, in fear that she may lose the ability to care about her children.
From that point on, Rita decides to ignore what's happening in the house until things escalate and she just can't take it anymore. She then reaches for her brother, who reveals that he is on the run from the police and the Hayes's are only keeping quiet because of her.As Rita gets to meet Mrs. Hayes's sister, she realizes the dark past around their family. Reaching out for her ex-husband only brings more trouble as Rita finds out there is no one she can really turn to.
Getting back into the Ravens house for answers leads to a disaster as Rita is captured and taken as prisoner by Mrs. Hayes. Her brother soon appears, looking for her, only to be captured and locked in a dark place next to Rita.
As they find their way to escape, Rita's brother gets shot and she escapes into one of the house's rooms. Realizing that she is at the end of her rope, Rita contemplates a terrible option.
Suddenly, an opportunity comes to her attention and she discovers a hidden passage within the walls: a dark tunnel reminiscent of the darkness outside. As she walks up the tunnel, the water gets more and more until it finally reaches to her chest.
Facing the possibility to drown or lose her baby by going back, Rita continues further until she faints.
She wakes up in her own house with her newborn happy and giggling. A call from Mrs. Hayes reveals the terrible deed from her past and a fear Rita was made to endure, so she can realize what it is to lose a child. Rita rushes to the hospital where she reunites with her brother who is hurt, but alive.
