Amidst the autumn avenue in Ulukunchi of West Karbi Anglong, Sikaisal, a place of knowledge, is a dream which Maheshwar Patar, who singularly tasted the fruit of knowledge in his native land builds with his bare hands. Our protagonist is a teacher by heart and a husband to his wife, His journey begins as the sole primary school teacher with a ray of hope when his school is provincialized, helping him to retire in contentment. But his dream breaks to learn that no teacher ever joins. Seeing the school filled with leaves rather than students, the bond that he cherishes the most is shattered. Education is not prioritised in the Tiwa communnity, but his determination to break free local's superstitions and educate them leaves no stone unturned, but only to face long nights of failure and desolation in his heart. Did he give up? his dream would not let him, and started teaching at home reliving again, but when his wife overwrites alphabets on the board, she adds another name to Patar's Sikailsal, educating all as knowledge sans age, gender and boundary and Patar's Sikailsal, nobly shares a life's work, a dream he finally fulfils to live under the limitless sky.
