At Christmas, a cheerful publicist teams up with a cynical VP and his eclectic team to help a charity in need.
Kansas City publicist Darcy ventures to the Emerald Educational Trust for the job of a lifetime, helping VP Glen Goodman and his team find the know how, courage, and heart to help a charity in need for Christmas. Darcy and Glen begin to realize they have everything in common. However, Glen's surprise revelation at the big Christmas gala just may put an end to their promising romance before it has really gotten started.
New York big corporation Emerald advertises for a PR firm, which must first prove itself at their educational trust's charity Christmas program. Ambitious Kansas City idealist Darcy applies, making a bad start with Communications VP Glenn, but he rather appreciates her candor and keeps creating chances, while her hands-on 'rural' style goes well with the seasonal team, interacting with the academical educational policy officer (who points at the big picture), busybody Jackie and especially irresistible, artistically gifted Riley, whom she helps over stage-fright. Glenn and Darcy warm to each-other, he helps overcome objections from the CFO and agrees last minute to be the key note speaker, but she's shocked to learn about the elusive CEO William Austin and returns to her Kansas family for the holidays.—KGF Vissers
