Following his son Gabriel's death, Jorge (Oscar Martínez of Wild Tales) travels from conservative Bolivia to New York City to confront Gabriel's boyfriend Sebastian (Barbosa). While the two battle over Jorge's inability to accept his son, Sebastian channels his grief into a bold new play in honor of his lost love, in which Gabriel's inner turmoil is transformed into an eye-popping gay fantasia.

Heartbreak and loss drive Tu Me Manques. Gabriel - a young Bolivian - falls in love with Sebastian, another young Bolivian he meets in New York. However, unable to bear the weight of the homophobic culture of his native Bolivia and feeling censored, rejected and not loved by his family, Gabriel finds in suicide how to escape that situation. After this unexpected tragedy, Sebastian and Gabriel's father - Jorge - are launched on a cultural journey and self-knowledge, where each confronts his new reality in a radically different way. Jorge, unable to comprehend his son's secret homosexual lifestyle, travels from Santa Cruz to New York in search of answers and to confront Sebastian, whom he blames for the loss suffered by his family.
