After a nearly fatal accident, Calvin's 'perfect' world crumbles and he is forced to confront his demons.

Calvin Masterson has everything a handsome bachelor could want: a high powered job as an attorney, a list of women on speed dial and enough money to get his kicks anytime, anywhere. Calvin's "perfect life" is flipped upside down when he is nearly killed by a drunk driver. Bed ridden and depressed, Calvin drinks heavily and abuses drugs to mask the pain. He then runs into Ava, a beautiful, lonely children's book author who is determined to befriend and help him. Calvin resists her guidance at first but quickly realizes that Ava is the only real friend he's ever had and the only girl who has truly cared about him. To keep Ava, however, Calvin must confront his inner demons and maintain sobriety.—Chelsea Zotta
