Gilda, the popular Argentinian singer of the 1990s, died tragically in a car accident at age 36, at the peak of her career. Born Myriam Alejandra Bianchi, at 30 years old she had accomplished in 6 years what takes most musicians a lifetime, but getting there was much harder than anyone thinks. "I'm Gilda" is about one woman's arduous journey to make her dreams come true--a road few dare to take.
Based on the life of the legendary Argentinian singer, the film tells the story of Gilda, a kindergarten teacher who is married and has two kids that soon discovers is unhappy and decides to follow her dreams and become a popular singer, embarking on a tumultuous journey towards fame.
