In a post-apocalyptic society, a budding revolutionary must survive one final task to complete his training.

23 years after a massive solar flare ravaged the Earth, a young revolutionary is sent by his mentor into the Wildlands on one final training mission. Along the way he is forced to contend with the forces of nature as well as the remnants of a cannibalistic tribe bent on proving a point about humanity's destructive nature. All he has are his skills, his mind, the contents of his backpack, and a beat up leather-bound journal titled "The Survivalist", to help him overcome both the Wildlands and the darkness that it hides.
