This movie is based on those wonderful discussions between Basavanna and other eminent personalities during that reign. Basavanna who was a 12th century Indian philosopher, statesman, Kannada poet in Shiva-focussed bhakti movement and a social reformer. He spread social awareness through his poetry, popularly known as Vachanaas.
