The Jones family is into politics with father running for mayor. His son prints a newspaper which causes controversy by quoting his dad regarding his crooked opponent.

John Jones is running for mayor on the reform ticket. His young son, Roger, has set up a small printing press in the backyard shed, and a neighborhood paper that is sensational. He quotes his dad's comments at the dinner table about the current mayor who is a crook, and scares his father for fear he will be sued for libel. But the mayor is so involved with the owner of a local roadhouse, that caters to young people with a gambling room, that he is afraid to start anything. However, he and his partner set out to discredit Mr. Jones by framing his oldest son. He is lured to the roadhouse by a flashy blonde on the pretense of driving her to the night show in which she is performing after she tells him her car has broken down. They frame him in a car accident as he drives away from the roadhouse, and play a bottle of whiskey in his car.—Les Adams <[email protected]>
