This is the story of a lumber town, set in Oregon's Coast range. It grew from humble roots to hold a special place in the hearts of all who lived there. For the town's children, life involved playing in the safety of the forest. For the adults, the wood provided bounteous wood for the mill, meaning steady, well paid work. But it was a company town, leaving it as vulnerable to the forces of economics as it was to the nature which surrounded it. This is the story of that town and the people who lived, and worked there. A town that was wiped from the face of the earth. Not by fire, wind or flood, but by the people who owned it.—Anonymous
