The story of a smug and troubled 13 year old boy, Johnny Dobbin, who dreams of being 10 years older so he can become a super hero and save the world.
Uncanny Productions' 3rd 'Play into Film', Holy Flypaper! was originally produced as a two act play of musical theatre with an all youth cast at the Murwillumbah and Tweed Heads Civic Centres in the Tweed Valley of northern New South Wales, Australia.
The whole show was filmed using three cameras during its final night performance and then edited into a 94 minutes 'telemovie'. For cutaways and close-ups, Flypaper! was also filmed with cameras on stage during the dress rehearsal, with selected shots slotted in during the post-production process.
In 2011, Holy Flypaper! was cut down into a rip roaring 58 minutes version and G-Classified by the Australian Government Censorshop Board. It has never been offered for distribution, but in 2013, the edited version was placed on-line via the Uncanny Productions website, uncanny.com.au
