Summaries

A woman one day simply walks out on her family. Or does she?

One morning, Clarisse decides to leave her family. While everyone is still asleep, she sneaks off, leaving her husband Marc and their two children Lucie (11) and Paul (8) behind. As Clarisse sings in her car and drives further and further away from the house they share, Marc and the children wonder where she is and when she will return. Lucie and Paul leave the kitchen door open for her at night in case she returns. Clarisse, on the other hand, moves to another city, starts a new job and wonders what life will be like for the three of them. Little Paul is still waiting for his mum to return. Time passes and the family photos on the fridge change from four to just three people. Marc disposes of Clarisse's perfumes and shampoos. The children mature; they realize that Clarisse is not coming back. They don't wait any longer. But one day Clarisse returns. The perfume bottles are in the right place, the old photos are still hanging. Fantasy and memories blur with reality.—Arte
