Summaries

Tales of terror by established authors such as Ray Bradbury or Edgar Allan Poe as well as original scripts.

"Historias Para No Dormir" (Stories to keep you awake) was a horror anthology series with most episodes presented by the show's creator, director and writer Narciso Ibanez Serrador. The series ran from 4 February 1966 until 27 September 1982 on TVE1 (servicing Spain, Andorra, also parts of France and Portugal). Stories were adapted from authors such as Ray Bradbury or Edgar Allan Poe as well as original scripts, including stories written by Serrador. The indoor scenes were shot on video, while the outdoor scenes where shot on film. Due to the impossibility to edit together both formats at the time, the footage was mixed "live" during the broadcast. Serrador was born on 4 July 1935 in Montevideo, Uruguay and passed away on 7 June 2019 in Madrid, Spain.—The Professor
