World War II--the dark years in Philippine history. This is the story of Tacing (Charo Santos), a woman involved in different love affairs which result in endless tribulations. Angelito, her first true love, deceives and abandons her. Instead of accepting responsibility, he pays her enough to change her life. Hesitant about the decision, she goes to Manila in search of a better life for her child. Fortuntely, luck is on her side.
