King Tae-jo Wang-keon, wants his people to learn kindness from Buddhism. Three men are sent China to get the Scripture. One of them wants to use it to create his own kingdom instead, so he kills one companion but the other, Hwang Bo-young, runs away with it. Shin-ta is furious and massacres a bunch of people. Ten years later the son of the companion Shin-ta killed, wants revenge on Bo-young. When he hears the truth from Bo-young, the son looks for Shin-ta. He bests Shin-ta's guard but finds the man already dead in his cave.—Samb Hicks
